How costumes can symbolise good and evil

Here are two images of Spiderman where he has two opposite personalities. As you can see the image with the original Spiderman suit the colours used are much lighter to emphasis if spider man was a "God" sent from heaven or as we all ready know a super hero A.K.A as people know as one of the “Good Guys”.

As you can see the black coloured Spiderman suit is to emphasise that there is a type of darkness inside the character therefore the audience would assume that this character is somewhat evil in a way. This image is actually a shot from the film Spiderman 3 and what the director has done here is also very clever. The director has colour matched the sky with the characters costume, this is very clever because it makes it seem that there is a “dark aura” surrounding him that seems very unlikely to be impenetrable which basically means that he is a lot more powerful than before.
